To Save Water:

Keep a large pot in the sink to capture water whenever we wash our hands or rinse fruit etc. This bowl is emptied into our vegetable garden or flower bed, whenever it is full.
Keep a large water bottle in each bathroom, where family members catch the cold water before it turns warm for showers.
Keep a 75 gallon rain barrel in the garden
Take shorter showers and use water as sparingly as possible.
