Dead-Eye Stare

I said good morning and she gave me the dead fish-eye stare. Okay then! Check mate. Your move. I guess I was correct. She really is dangerous endangered and deranged. It wasn't just talking out loud, under her breath in streams of sarcastic poison. She seems to have committed to giving out dead fish stares. Okay then. I asked the nice lady in the locker room and she confirmed my suspicions. Odd duck. Not your problem.  Humans sure are complicated.

“Most species of fish will exhibit “dead-eye” when near death — from overexertion, heavy stress like temperature shock or response to an anesthetic. Dead-eye can also be a symptom of ammonia toxicity. Fresh, clean and cool water over the gills can sometimes revive.”
