I just made a vat of tomato sauce and 10 mini sourdough multigrain (corn wheat rye oat) loaves.
I had to pour a shallow amount of the cooked tomato sauce into every pot and pan in the house to cool it off so I could safely refrigerate it.
Making tomato sauce in the gigantic 8 quart instant pot is almost like doing a load of laundry. Add everything and hit the start button. Cooks for 60-90 minutes. Tastes like it cooked all day.
8 quart Vat of Tomato Sauce
2 giant onions (chopped)
1 bulb garlic (smashed +peeled)
4 cans tomato puree
3 cans black olives (chopped)
2 cans tomato paste (don't stir to avoid burn notice)
many stalks of chopped celery and or chopped carrots (and or chopped mushrooms)
olive oil many bloops
cup of Chianti
dried parsley oregano basil + 3 bay leaves
1 dried red chili
water (at the bottom)
