I have found that swimming is the perfect introvert activity because nobody can talk to you underwater. I can avoid the locker room chat by showing up in my bathing suit or leaving wrapped in a towel or swim dress over my wet bathing suit.
Dog walking is the perfect activity for introverts. My pooch and I are on a mission. We can cross the street at any time or walk in any direction. I can wave and be civil and cordial but need not linger. I avoid dog parks because I discovered they are not for dogs. They are for the socializing humans.
Letter writing is the perfect habit for introverts. It's how I started writing.
I warn everyone, you'll never catch me on the phone unless it's an emergency. If I'm desperate I might text but generally e-mail is best.
I tell people don't show up at my door unannounced. As an introvert it feels like a violation.
I keep introvert hours: I get up before the world and go to sleep early to seclude myself from the loud humans.
Nap time or the reading nap is the saving grace. I use a box fan to blot out the noisy humans.
I am bored by parties especially those with stoned and drunken party guests and hosts. If I must attend a social event you'll find me in the kitchen, washing the dishes, tidying up.
I prefer humans one at a time. I've discovered humans never behave better in a group.
