Today I was thinking about how our parents entertained advertising clients nearly every weekend of their married life including all of the major holidays. What a circus! Today I realized this was not healthy or normal and our family is demented because of it. Seriously. Once, years ago my husband and I showed up spontaneously and my parents were not entertaining. It was the only time we saw them alone ever. We ate soup together back stage.
