I ran into my friend Peter Mahoney at Stop and Shop and as we walked out with our groceries in paper bags. Then he asked me if I remember using paper bags to cover school books? I said YES, and in 6th grade (1972), the first thing I did was write FRED IS DEAD on my bag covered social studies book. I remember feeling so dangerous!
