The Wolf

The wolf offered to give me a tour of the house while he was renovating it. No thanks, I'll wait 'til you guys move in, I said. I was terrified of the wolf on a visceral level and as a former New Yorker I was raised to trust these things. That said, I did like his wife. She was the opposite of the wolf. The tour never happened and that's fine. Over the past 15 years various wolf stories have been told to me and they're all scary. And they all feature dogs. Perhaps that's not a coincidence. Dogs do not like him and I'm still just as afraid as the day I met him.
