A flying monkey is a term used in popular psychology to describe someone who does the bidding of an abusive or narcissistic individual, often by manipulating or attacking the narcissist's target on their behalf. The term originates from the winged servants of the Wicked Witch in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, who performed her dirty work without question.
