This is how we knit community! One story at a time.

One of the million reasons why I love Woonsocket Rhode Island is that I identify with immigrants and refugees who end up living here. In one city block I have west Africans, Thai, Indian, Taiwanese, Cambodians, Puerto Ricans, Brazilians, Ecuadorians who all took off to find economic stability and safety with their families. We have so much to learn from our neighbors who know how to love their children cook home food and laugh together. They have seen hardship that we have never imagined. On my dog walks I love to hear the stories people tell me. This is how we knit community! One story at a time.
