Chosen

I realized I was chosen by my mother to be the one in the family that takes the blame and has the most responsibility. I was a wide open channel of receptivity and exuberance. When she saw me she saw a wishing well, one that she was determined to control. Had she been able to drop the impulse she may have learned something. It's taken 54 years for me to fully understand the magnitude of this burden but then again, it's never too late.
