Robin's Nest

I'd been saving the robin's nest we found on the sidewalk in front of our house. I found it this past springI wanted to give it to a young child. My neighbor's Joey's visiting 8 year old daughter Lilly just walked by and I said, "Wait, I have something for you!"  I ran inside and picked it up and put it in a box. She loved it. "It's even shaped like a heart. It's made of mud and straw," I said.

"Maybe I can give the nest to the people who raise owls in Rhode Island, so they could lay eggs in the nest," she said.

"Those eggswould be too big," her father said.

"I could put it out on the fire escape for the bluebirds, We get so many bluebirds." Her father winked at me.

"Okay, that sounds good." I said
