Literary star and Lesley University faculty member Jason Reynolds turned the popular “spread your wings” and “we made it” Commencement messages on their head, challenging Lesley graduates not to fly so high that they lose sight of people who were not given the same opportunities to succeed. During commencement on May 19, 2018, Lesley awarded an honorary doctorate to Reynolds, a New York Times bestselling author.
