My new online friend vanished after I told her I was legally blind. I was telling this to my Extra Eyes driver and she said, I'll be your friend. Then she told me she has stage 4 cancer and isn't supposed to work but has to to pay the bills. I can't become friends with her and go through that kind of heartbreak again, Genevieve said.
