A Culinary Week

This was a big culinary week for us.

Sunday morning with the 62 degree weather we (defrosted) and roasted a small 11 pound turkey on our Weber grill over hardwood charcoal.

After sandwiches I made soup stock on Monday from the carcass and Tuesday it became soup with kale, carrots, and potatoes with batches to freeze.

Yesterday I made spaghetti sauce and baked granola to stay warm. I also mixed up some multigrain sour dough.

Today I made applesauce from the leftover bunch of Gravenstein's.
Tonight we just made cheddar cheese crackers.

While waiting for the cracker dough to chill I shaped my sourdough into loaf pans to rise and then baked them. Eleven half-sized loaves.

Perhaps I am celebrating the survival of the City pool although I have no details yet we've been promised more information next week.

Sweet dreams!
