My favorite game especially when I have lots of delicious leftovers and a delicate tummy caused by intense Cedar Juniper allergies, is to make soup from leftovers.
Today I used a tablespoon of light Miso dissolved in a bowl of boiling water. I added olive oil, leftover vegetables, carrot strips, leftover mashed potato, leftover cooked brown Basmati rice, mushrooms, scallions, leftover broccoli. Then I added a few drops of toasted sesame oil and a splash of soy sauce, fish sauce and chianti and frozen peas.
Brought it back up to a boil.
Delicious, soothing and fast!
