PTSD

A friend of mine who is a professional social worker suggested that I am having PTSD and I had to agree. As a child of a narcissist I am traumatized by the narcissist attempting to destroy the country and the planet. For every news story I hear about, I recall a parallel event from my childhood. For example years ago when I spoke about my childhood sexual and medical abuse to my therapist, my mother sent me articles about false memory syndrome. Luckily I hung in there but the trauma of having a narcissist parent leaves deep scars. I now believe I am strong in the scarred places but I hope to prevent further damage by sharing my story.
