I spoke to the Mowhawk brothers about praise. "Tell Dennie to sit. And when she does it, say 'Good job!' She wants to please you, just like when your teachers say to you 'Good job!' it feels good, right?"
I walked with Dennie on the leash around the parking lot to show them "heel." Dennie was good. When I would stop she would stop and sit and look up at me, her black ears pointing straight up. I fell in love with her. I hope the family can get her vaccinated and neutered. But this is very hard for a family of five with one parent working 12-hour night shifts.
Keep practicing the sit and stay for ten minutes a day.
