Snow Falling: Brown Rice Baking

I am baking a pot of brown rice in my red iron pot while the snow is falling. I did a quick vacuum so my living room feels loved. I owned my little gray canister vacuum for 32 years and didn't realize that I had another attachment that works really well on the rugs. How embarrassing!

I'll be forever grateful for my day teaching basic cooking with the teen mothers at the YWCA over 20 years ago. One of the students turned me onto ADOBO,"This is what we use to bake a chicken," she said. And I said let's do it! It was fabulous and I have never stopped buying and using Adobo.

It has been three days of avoiding the news and I am blissed out.
