Stove Top Laboratory

I explain to my culinary students allow yourself to bake or cook something 100 times. Then you'll be an expert and you'll be able to improvise with confidence. This is what I tell myself but I start improvising on the second try. My latest fetish is CUBAN COFFEE. I have always loved the graphics of Cafe Bustelo so that's where I started. I am a resourceful scrounger so I have half a dozen coffee making implements in my kitchen, but whose counting.

I love cooking with steam so I decided to pressure cook cavatelli while I made a pot of Cuban coffee. I must've had beginners luck yesterday because it came out perfect and today it was spitting and sputtering. I just read the instructions. Here
