My mother posed with her Kitchen Aid dishwasher so the July Christmas shoot could be a right off. This was for Glamour magazine. She met the Art Director Buddy Radwin when my parents were in GROUP THERAPY. So Buddy and George were invited to Christmas the real Christmas every year along with Jane Kipnedd and her daughter and other folks. Everyone was a client from group therapy. They all became sudden family friends and we went to the Kipnedds house on Fire Island where Jane's husband got drunk and violent in the middle of the night and the police were called. I was terrified. Nobody comforted us kids. It was all drama that my mother loved."We ran along the beach, as Joe chased us! She said to the police officer with the notepad.

People say I love my garbage disposal or I love my dishwasher but they never say I love my son I love my daughter. This is our oppressive commercial corporate culture. Even more so in an advertising family.
