Buttermilk Cheese: Simply Delicious, a memoir of cooking. She loves to turn bits of leftovers into new tasty and beautiful offerings.

I did this and it's so good and simple. I had leftover milk and leftover buttermilk. I combined them and placed them in the boiler room. 75 degree warmth. No need to heat it or add salt. Just let it be on the counter or warm room temp for a day. Then our into a coffee filter or cheese cloth. Save the whey for soup or bread or smoothies or pancakes.

I have this theory about making our own food --that it heals us and promotes a better relationship with eating and our bodies.
