We don't respect sound and scent enough

So many things need to be addressed in our society but lately I am thinking a lot about noise and smells. It seems we do not as a culture seem to respect either of these things. 

Leaf blowing lawn mowing blasting radios etc, are not seen as a violation. But they are to many of us.

 I also count overly scented dryer sheets for example that pollute public space as an intense violation. 

Why is it that we do not have a society that cares about this? Don't answer that. I do know why: corporate greed and everything is for sale and if you speak up you are violating someone's freedom. Okay I'll stop.
