Friendly Food

My childhood dinner table was traumatic for many reasons. 

Starting with stomach pain at nearly every meal.

So as an adult I try to make it a friendly place with friendly food. Vegetable soup and bread, salads, homemade hummus.

The table has to be a happy relaxed  place where there are no stomach aches or anxiety about cleaning your plate.

Everyday I find things on my walk. 

Chairs, couches, books lamps, clothing.  

Yesterday it was unopened can of beans and a mini unopened Slim Jim. 

Today it was two packages of Chai  tea unopened.

Of course I pick them up! 

My husband laughs. 

The perpetual rescuer, at it again, he says
