Elizabeth Gilbert

Look at it from a cosmic perspective...what have you come here on earth to do with your life? I made a vow to myself when I was about 15 years old that I would be a writer. I didn't promise the universe that I would be a good writer; only that I would WRITE. So I write. And I release the outcome, because the outcome is none of my business. Most of what blocks us is fear about criticism, fear we aren't good enough. But forget about that — what matters only is the process. Set your timer for 30 min a day, and begin.

. . . Begin (today) to TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF. Try an experiment: Treat yourself as if you are the most precious thing on earth. No judgement, no self-hatred, no shame. Imagine that you are your own angel, and begin there. What does Rhonda need? Take care of her. She is in your care. I send you blessings, and promises that lives can change. I don't know anyone who ever changed their life that didn't begin exactly where you are now: On the bathroom floor. I wish I could help you more, but I send you all my love.
