A Brief Visit to Hell

I woke with a godawful headache at 1:30 AM. I drank water stumbled down to the kitchen to eat something to go with 1 Excedrin.

I made toast and peeled a banana. I kept the lights off except for crack of light from the other room. Surprisingly I could only eat 1/2 a piece of toast and a few slices of banana. My head was in a vise grip stretching across my forehead. I drank  2 cups of ice cold water.

I went up stairs. The pain throbbed and I jumped over to the sink and vomited 3 quick times. That's what I was trying to prevent!

I turned off the AC+ fan as dry air (and yard work dust) might have been the culprit. I sat up because lying down made my head hurt worse. Finally (and I presume some molecules of Excedrin were still in my system) I was able to lie down. Romeo resting his head on my hip. My head and stomach swirling Bill resting a warm hand on my head and belly. Of course I tortured myself with the idea "Do I have COVID?" But I didn't feel achy or sick in that way.

Amen to being able to sleep until 8:30 AM and wake without pain.
