I have a friend who works as a hospice-care nurse. She has been sitting with the dying for thirty years. They are sometimes young people, tragedies, but most are old. And she tells me that never, no matter how successful the individual, no matter how many awards they've won, how much money they've made, they never talk about their careers during their last days. It's all about the people. Only the people.
