Navy Bean Soup

I am always hungry after my big swims. Today I decided to make soup. Before I removed my jacket I was already chopping carrots and onions for the pot. It will simmer while I continue my day.

Here's what I did: I added one cup of leftover German potato salad, two white onions chopped, two large carrots chopped into coins, a cup of Chianti jug red wine, freshly smashed garlic, olive oil, a pound of navy beans, large can of pureed tomatoes, bay leaf, chicken bullion cube, broccoli stems chopped fine and enough water to call it soup. 

Update: After the taste test I added 3/4 pound of frozen chopped spinach and chipotle peppers and kosher salt. Now it's a spicy gloop! All my soups become gloops! It's delicious and it tastes a lot like baked beans. The chipotle gives it a meaty depth.
