We are a Boston based running club focused on creating a community of recovery, friendship and support through wellness.
The Boston Bulldogs Running Club are a co-ed 501(c)3 non-profit running club established to provide an anonymous and safe community of support for all those adversely affected by addiction - those in recovery, their families and friends, the clinical community and the community at large.
The Club promotes an integrated approach to wellness and self-leadership in recovery on a journey to discover the kind-hearted warrior and true potential within each of us.
The Bulldogs have a history dating back to 2008 when the Club was established by Coach Mike Ferullo, as the HopeFound Bulldogs at the Shattuck Hospital shelter. The Club was adopted by Pine Street Inn in 2012 to provide members with the opportunity to participate in a positive social and wellness program supporting their recovery.
Now, the Boston Bulldogs Running Club has been reinvented as an independent entity to offer support to those battling all forms of addiction, as well as their friends, family and supporters, across greater Boston. We welcome and encourage runners (and walkers) of all levels – dreamers, beginners, as well as those with running experience, past or present. Our volunteers will be there to coach and encourage you whatever your current level, and help you set and meet your wellness goals. We can provide help with running gear and transportation if needed.
We meet twice weekly at the Reservoir (Cleveland Circle/Reservoir Green Line C or D train) - on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm and Saturday mornings at 10:00 am.
Our South Shore chapter of the Bulldogs meets twice weekly at Nelson Memorial Park on Nelson Street in Plymouth, MA - Tuesdays evenings at 6:30 pm and Sunday mornings at 10:00 am.
We'd love for you to join us! Let's get started.
There are many ways for individuals to become involved in our Boston Bulldogs community! We welcome new team members, sponsors and volunteers to the family, and encourage runners of all levels – dreamers, beginners, as well as those with running experience, past or present - to join us. Our main goal is to help you achieve yours. If you are interested in becoming a member or a volunteer, in making a contribution to the Club, or in learning more about the Boston Bulldog wellness/running program, please reach out to us!
