I woke up at 1 AM having anxiety thoughts (what I call head noise) and stayed awake listening to my thoughts for two hours. I finally fell back to sleep when the alarm sounded at 4AM. So many people I know have sleep disorders. I don't usually have a problem as long as I sleep and wake at the same time each day, no matter what. And as long as I cut out the caffeine after my morning mug of coffee. (But I love black tea at 4PM, the sleep gods and the tannins don't like ME!) Sometimes my lap-swimming and walking and running can have a stimulating effect keeping me awake or waking me up, just like caffeine. Even so, I prefer to swim at the end of the day so that I am sure to be in a good mood and inspired about making supper when my husband gets home. Last night I got myself to "swim my age!" I did fifty six round trips in an hour. Not bad. "I've done better, I've done worse."
Today it's ice-cold sunshine and it's my favorite month of the year, FEBRUARY! There are no allergens when it is this cold and no FAMILY holidays. Also we get to experience the noticeable EXPANDING LIGHT. We're halfway to spring, the season many people like. Spring is allergy hell for many of us and insane noise in the city. I like February best.
