It's For YOU

It's amazing outside and all of the mold allergens have popped. It's 60 degrees and sunny today and a blizzard is coming tomorrow. New England weather. Lily and I are going to get out again for our second run of the day. I am grateful that she never turns me down. Amen to a strong and healthy willing and able canine running mate. How did I get so lucky?

I am in the first week of transmit-mode so I am speedy in mind and body and I have the bi-annual URGE TO RUN. Running brings me to the centered place and allows me to sleep well. My husband will say, "It's for you, you don't have to give it away. It's YOURS. You don't have to try to win them back." He is a wise man. When I was a kid my parents would flip out if I went bicycling or running. They wanted to control my every move. Starting when I was "terrible two," my mother said I was uncontrollable. I was a good kid but the war of control began and was fought on many fronts, and never stopped. It's still going on. But now the control-thing has been taken up by my siblings. Sadly they can't help themselves. It's all they know.
