I've been adding lots to my lentil soup today: a parmesan rind, a leftover smoked garlic sausage, three turnips, 6 Rhode Island white potatoes, a frozen pork knuckle from the soup kitchen's Easter ham, cheap wine, Adobo, olive oil, and fresh garlic. It is fantastic.
We are roasting almonds too.
All of this to stay warm and make the house smell good.
The sun is out and I am ready for a long walk. This is my favorite weather: freezing sunshine. Have dog will travel.
